This is the 2nd Annual Sydney’s 5K Run which will take place on Sunday April 7, 2013 at Rio Vista Park. All proceeds will benefit individuals with Autism, Cognitive Disabilities, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and other health issues.
Last year they were able to raised $2200. This year’s target sponsorship is $5,000! They are asking you to partner with them to make this year’s Sydney’s run a big success!!! All proceeds raised will be used in order to support the Advanced Independence Day Program for young adults with special needs.
Sydney’s 5K Run was created in honor of the very own beloved and courageous Sydney Nicole Winston, who was a client of Advanced Independence for several years. Sydney was born with a rare, progressive, and degenerative illness known as Spinal Cerebra Ataxia, also known as Friedreick’s Ataxia. They lost Sydney, unfortunately in December 2010, but her beautiful spirit continues to burn bright within their organization.
