Holiday Ski Destinations

The ski season is gearing up and skiing over the New Year is always a special time. Many skiers are awaiting to take their yearly trip to the slopes. To welcome skiers, all the local people and businesses are also awaiting. The bars and clubs in the resorts are always full at this timeof year. There are many ski holiday destinations around the world.

Andorra
Andorra, the fourth most famous ski destination,  attracts 82,000 holiday skiers every season. Andorra is a great destination for memorable skiing and snowboarding experiences. It is a nice place for beginner and intermediate skiers to enjoy. The ski areas in Andorra are Arinsal, Canillo, El Tarter, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu.

Austria
Austria is a beautiful ski holiday destination. Beautiful onion-domed churches, village squares and Great Mountain restaurants are great addition to the skiing.  A great learning experience is offered on slopes for beginners  with long wide curves. More complicated runs let the experienced skiers enjoy steep hillsides with lots of  powdery white snow. For glacier skiing, some of the Austria ski holiday resorts are open throughout the year. Bulgaria
Bulgaria is ideal ski destination as it is inexpensive. It has small easy ski runs so it is perfect for the beginner or nervous intermediate. It has superb ski schools. Compared to Alps, Bulgaria prices are half. The ski areas in Andorra are Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo.

Canada
Canada is one of the leading ski nations in the world. It has about 300 ski centers stretching across the country. The Rocky Mountains in BC and Alberta as well as the Laurentian mountains in Ontario and Quebec offer the best snow. A ski holiday in Canada assures unbelievable snow conditions. The ski areas in Canada are Banff, Fernie, Big White, Jasper, Kimberley, Kicking Horse, Lake Louise, Quebec Region, Panorama, Red Resort, Sun Peaks, Silver Star, Tremblant and Whistler.

France
France is another leading ski destination of the world in many respects. There are over 300 ski areas in the country. It offers excellent skiing for all levels of skiers. Ski resorts in France can be divided into two camps such as purpose-built high altitude resorts and traditional mountain villages. Italy
Italy has 300 ski areas throughout the country. Beginners to experts will find the ideal slope for their skiing. Skiing in Italy is an unforgettable experience. Switzerland

United States
There are around 500 ski areas in USA which is extended over 40 states including many world famous resorts such as Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole, Aspen, Stowe and Vail. The resorts of America are popular for their high service standards, quality experience and friendly staff. USA resorts are perfect for families. The ski areas in United States are Alaska, Aspen, Alta, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Crested Butte, Heavenly, JKeystone, ackson Hole, Killington, Mammoth, Lake Tahoe, Park City, Squaw Valley, Snowmass, Steamboat, Sundance, Stowe, Telluride, Vail and Winter Park.
