Skiing in British Columbia, Canada

Andysonic777 at en.wikipedia
British Columbia has the most ski resorts of any province in Canada.

All in all, there are at least 55 British Columbia ski resorts that offer downhill skiing.

British Columbia is blessed with tons of snow, light, airy powder, high mountain ranges, and a moderate climate.

Each of the province's six tourist regions has ski resorts, the most famous being Whistler Blackcomb two hours outside of Vancouver. Ski enthusiasts who don't want to stray far from Vancouver can find downhill skiing 15 minutes from downtown at Grouse Mountain.

Whistler / Blackcomb has more than 8,000 acres of skiable terrain with 37 lifts and over 200 marked runs. There are three glaciers and 13 alpine bowls. Charming pedestrian-only base village has a little of everything, whether you’re interested in a relaxing spa experience, shopping or a night on the town, this bustling town will perfectly complement your day on the slopes.

For those looking for even more adventure, British Columbia reigns supreme as one of the world's best heli-skiing, cat-skiing, and backcountry ski destinations.
