Travel Singapore

Explore this island city-state off southern Malaysia. Singapore is a global financial center with a tropical climate and multicultural population. Communicate with ease here as English is a common language. Visit a plethora of unique areas, such as, Chinatown where the red-and-gold Buddha’s Tooth Relic Temple stands, Little India offers colorful souvenirs and Arab Street is lined with fabric shops. Singapore is also known for eclectic street fare, served in hawker centers such as Tiong Bahru and Maxwell Road.
Not to Miss

Sentosa is a popular island resort in Singapore, visited by several million people a year. Attractions include a 1.2 mile long sheltered beach, Fort Siloso, two golf courses, theMerlion, 14 hotels, and the Resorts World Sentosa, featuring the theme park Universal Studios Singapore.

Universal Studios Singapore is a theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa . It was a key component of Genting's bid for the right to build Singapore's second integrated resort.  Construction of the theme park and the rest of the resort started on 19 April 2007. It is the second Universal Studios theme park to open in Asia (Japan being the first), and the first in Southeast Asia. Universal Studios Singapore has since attracted more than 2 million visitors in the 9 months from its opening.

The Night Safari is the world's first nocturnal zoo and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore.

The Night Safari was officially opened on 26 May 1994 and occupies 86 acres of secondary rainforest adjacent to the Singapore Zoo and Upper Seletar Reservoir.

The Night Safari currently houses over 2,500 animals representing over 130 species, of which 38% are threatened species. The Night Safari is managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, and about 1.1 million visitors visit the safari per year. Unlike traditional nocturnal houses, which reverse the day-night cycle of animals so they will be active by day, the Night Safari is an entire open-air zoo set in a humid tropical forest that is only open at night. It is divided into seven geographical zones, which can be explored either on foot via four walking trails, or by tram.

The animals of the Night Safari, ranging from Indian rhinoceros to tarsiers, are made visible by lighting that resembles moonlight. Although it is brighter than full moonlight by a few orders of magnitude, it is dim enough not to disturb nocturnal and crepuscular animals' behavior. The naturalistic enclosures simulate the animals' native habitat. Animals are separated from visitors with natural barriers, rather than caged, similar to the Singapore Zoo's open concept. Cultural performances are a regular feature at the safari, and include tribal dances, blowpipe demonstrations and fire eating displays. Creatures of the Night Show is a performance presented by the animals in the Night Safari.

Food and beverage outlets in the Night Safari include Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant, Bongo Burgers, and Casa Italia. Visitors can also experience dining on the move with the Cocktail Safari Express and Gourmet Safari Express.
